Metal Detecting Video's

This is my first video taken while metal detecting. The find was so great that I used the camera on my cell phone to record. As you will see in later video's, much better quality video with my new camcorder.

TIMERANGER Metal Detector

This video is after I have taken pockets full of coins to my truck, then went back into the woods with bags from my truck to help carry all the coins still on the ground.

This is several still photos of my BIG coin cache that had a total of 4508 coins. Yes you heard me correct, 4508 coins, most of them pennies and the oldest one being 1909. You can see the time I spent looking at each one of them on my dining room table. By the way, my wife was not real happy with me making such a mess, and it took me about 3 weeks to clean, sort then roll all 4508 coins. I bet your next question is what did I do with all of them coins…well I found them in the month of January 2009 on a warm weekend and after I was finished with them and cleaned off the table…I stuck them in the bank, here at home. Nope I did not cash them in, I have them all still with me.

I had a great day treasure hunting this beach. The beach was empty, the water level super low and took three different metal detector's with me. This is a state park here in Ohio, not used much anymore like it was in the 80's & 90's. I spent several hours this day hunting just the beach area and use all three detectors. This video is a little over 10 minutes long, but take a look at what I did record.

At a local park, found some other stuff than coins in my treasure hunting. Watch this 10 minute video and see my treasures.

Local park today, it is a small park, just a few swings and place to grill, but today I found a coin that was a first for me. What I do with my finds is I enter them into a treasure hunting log that I made in excel that shows dates, times, amounts, etc. and you will need to watch this video to see what my first entry into my log was.

Here is a video I made to show you some of my finds over the years. I only started using a camcorder in 2009, but been detecting for about 20 years. So here is some treasure finds from the last few years.

You might like these videos. They were taken by my wife while I was doing the treasure hunting, or on the ground plugging away. I did hunt in two different areas this time. First one is in an area where a water canal used to be, back more than 100 years. No water running through it now but…and the second one, back to a park I was at before with some good luck.

This is a revisit to the same areas from the last video, still finds the treasures, just in different areas.

Here is a small city park, have great finds from rings and coins. take a look.

I revisited the same city park that I hunted the day before. I could tell that not any or very little treasure hunting had been done here before. Todays metal detecting finds are different than the day before, I will show you both of them in this video.

A short video just showing you my finds from a two hunt. Again metal detecting will always find you someting.

How about this video. I was working at Ohio State University and close to where I parked I saw a small park in the middle of some homes. On Memorial Day 2009, I visited there, hot this day, and spent only an hour of so but was able to see that it had not been treasured hunted before, or a long time ago if someone had. Using just my Fisher 1225x, I will need to revisit again and will use my Bounty Hunter Time Ranger just to find what I may have missed.
